SBA program funding axed, widens small business ‘valley of death’

“Funding for a program that helped small businesses through what many have coined “the valley of death” has been cut.

Paul Zelizer, an experienced business coach notably helping the New Mexico Angels investor group and podcast host, founder of NM Climate, was the business coach for the U.S. Small Business Administration T.H.R.I.V.E. program for 2023 and 2024.

Zelizer said there is a gap in New Mexico for small businesses in need of resources to take them to the next level, and many resources are geared towards startups or large corporations, or those poised for fast growth.
