New Mexico Angels to Launch New Angels Club

Offering Hands-on Educational Workshops for Angel Investors

New Mexico Angels—the only New Mexico-based organization dedicated to accredited angel investors and focused on investing in early-stage companies in the Southwest—is launching its new program, the New Angel Club, which will feature education and guidance on investing in startups.

The program is available for new and experienced accredited investors. The initial series of seven free workshops will be held from 7 – 8 p.m. starting Wednesday, January 12, 2022 and run through April. Following the first phase of complimentary sessions, the program will feature an eight-week course, concluding with collaborative investments made into New Mexico start-up companies. Presented in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Feynman Center, workshops will be hosted in hybrid fashion—both virtually via Zoom and in-person in Albuquerque.

“For those looking to positively impact the New Mexico economy, this is your chance to learn about the ins and outs of angel investing,” said Drew Tulchin, New Mexico Angels President. “Our New Angel Club will provide a collaborative, hands-on experience to equip aspiring and experienced angels alike with the knowledge to navigate the investing process to boost the local economy and invest in startups with incredible potential.”

With a discussion-based forum and opportunities to learn from experienced investors, initial complimentary sessions are open to all. The full program is geared towards an action lab. Participants should be willing to commit to making serious investments in New Mexico startups in 2022.

The New Angel Club curriculum is powered by the Angel Accelerator, an international network of resources for new and aspiring impact investors. The first 5 registrants will receive a 10% discount on Angel Investor membership.
